This week at the EICMA show, NIU is unveiling its latest models including the new MQi GT Evo, that can reach speeds over 100km/h, and the new RQi electric motorcycle. NIU is also releasing new electric scooters and e-bikes in early 2022.
In total 6 new models will be showcased at the event in Mulan at the end of November, giving consumers and dealers plenty to talk about.
So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the latest additions to NIU.

So without further-ado, let’s take a closer look at the latest additions to NIU.
The MQi GT EVO Electric Moped

The new MQi GT EVO is the latest addition to the NIU m-series and promises to be the “best in its class”. Reaching speeds of over 100km/h, it’s certainly the fastest of its kind, competing with any 125cc moped on the market, including petrol.
The electric moped also delivers a solid range of 75km and 14inch wheels, making it an ideal choice for those commuting and , as is tradition with the MQI, it’s also perfectly designed to carry 2 riders with its long seat and optional backrest.
What’s more, the MQi GT EVO comes with bluetooth keyless entry, enabling riders to simply hop on and go.
Also worth noting, is the change in motor. Unlike previous models that packed a Bosch motor, the MQi GT EVO comes with the NIU V Motor, which is quoted to give an additional 3400W of continuous power. 6500W in total. In spite of the additional power, NIU still manages to deliver a reasonable fast-charge time of up to 5 hours.
The MQi GT Evo marks a number of new achievements for NIU. It’s the fastest Moped they have to date with the most powerful motor and the highest battery voltage than any of it’s previous models.
The MQi GT EVO will be available from the 1st March 2022 and is priced at €4,999 and according to NIU it comes with “three years of connectivity and app services”.
The RQi Electric Motorbike

NIU’s new electric motorbike, the RQi, consists of a 5kW chain motor and two removable 72-volt batteries. The motorbike can reach speeds of up to 110km/h and a charge time of under 4 hours.
The Chinese company also promises a new “launch mode” which is designed to give riders a boost at short notice. The motorbike also comes with front and rear-facing cameras.
The RQi is priced at €6,999 and will be available mid 2022.
The KQi3 Electric Scooter

NIU will also be entering the electric scooter market with the introduction of the KQi. Early this year NIU presented the KQi3 which is set to enter stores in Europe, in spring.
The KQi2 is the youngest of its family and will be on show at EICMA. The scooter reaches speeds up to 25k/h and is priced at €499.
The BQi e-Bike

For electric bike fans, NIU is releasing the BQi e-Bike. The BQi has a range of 100km and a 250W Bafang motor with a single-gear transmission.
The electric bike reaches a top speed of 25km/h and is priced at “under €1,500”. This e-bike is set to enter the market next summer.
The YQi Hybrid Motorbike

Last but not least, NIU is set to release a brand new hybrid-electric motorbike, which combines a liquid-cooled 150-cc petrol engine and a 24oo W electric motor.
NIU hopes to bridge the market with this hybrid motorbike in order to convert die-hard petrol fans that the future is electric.
The YQi is said to reach similar speeds and accelerations times as standard petrol bikes over 25o cc, according to NIU.
They hope you launch the hybrid motorbike in early 2023.
Each model will come with the NIU app, providing riders with real-time updates and information such as GPS, remote tracking and anti-theft.
