04/01/2023It’s our mission at EcoMove to help you find the right electric bike for you. Whether it’s a physical demand that you face or a challenging journey, we’ve got the ultimate guide to help you find the perfect wheels.
We’ve chosen categories based on the demands we find are most common among our customers. So without further a do let’s dive in.

Tall Riders:
Tall people are fairly lucky when it comes to electric bikes. There are plenty of brands that offer larger frames and for those who are very tall, extra-large frames are also available.
We suggest that taller riders shop by brand. This is because brands who offer larger frames, tend to do so across all of their bikes, giving the rider more to choose from.
Our recommended brands include Analog Motion, which offers frame sizes up to 60cm, and Haibike and Raleigh, which offer frame sizes up to 56cm.
Shorter Riders:
For those who may have the opposite issue, we suggest looking at small-framed bikes and step-throughs. These bikes will not only offer a safer and more comfortable ride for shorter people (under 5ft 3”), but mounting will also be much easier.
Our top recommended step-through electric bikes are the Ampere Deluxe, The Tenways CGO800s, and the Analog motion Low step.
Another good option is to consider choosing a folding bike. These bikes are designed to be small and will therefore be well suited to shorter riders.

The Ampere Deluxe

The Tenways CGO800s

Want to Pedal:
There are many riders out there that still enjoy the pedaling aspect of cycling and simply want a little assistance with their ride.
Whether you cycle for exercise or are looking for an easy transition into electric riding, a low-gear electric bike may be perfect for you.
For riders looking for something closer to a traditional bicycle, we recommend The Whippet or The Ampere Hilux.
High-Level Assist:
For the smoothest way to get around on an electric bike, try a cruiser bike. It is ideal for use as a “Beach Cruiser” for riding along the coast or as an “Urban Cruiser” for a funky bike ride in the city.
Cruiser bikes deliver a lot of power and a high level of assistance, so little pedaling is needed to get you going.
Cruiser electric bikes are very popular with men and women alike due to their striking design and ease of ride and you can also customise them with a whole host of Cruiser Bike Parts and Accessories.
Our favourite cruiser bikes are; The Newgen and the Dura F18.

Compact:
Looking for an electric bike that’s compact and easy to store? Folding electric bikes are ideal for those with limited bike storage. Simply fold your bike and tuck it away.
Folding e-bikes are also a fantastic option for those who ride public transport or for those who like to take their electric bike on holiday.
Our top-selling folding electric bikes include Mirider, Visla, and Ampere Alter.

Lightweight:
A common concern that riders have with electric bikes is the increase of weight in comparison to traditional bicycles.
Heavier bikes can be more difficult to maneuver, especially for less experienced riders. For this reason, many riders look to lightweight frames.
Our lighter framed bikes include The Whippet, The Tenways CGO600, and the Analog Motion. All weighing in below 15.9Kg.

Electric mountain bikes are perfect for those cyclists who want to explore different terrains and distances but need a little extra help every now and then.
Equipped with an electric motor that provides additional power during pedaling, electric mountain bikes provide many benefits, offering the thrills of a normal mountain bike without as much effort, allowing you to do more in one session.
If you’re looking for an electric mountain bike, our recommendation would be one of the following: Haibike Trekking 6, Hardseven 7, or an Ampere X-Trail.
